Welcome to the ABC Bookkeeping Corp. Web Bookkeeping Demo

Following are screen shots and text to describe how easy it is to use our Web Bookkeeping program.

Our Online Bookkeeping system has been designed to be easy to use and to simplify the record keeping process.  We offer a simple data entry form, designed to handle Cash Disbursements, Cash Receipts, and Journal Entries.

Once you sign up for the service, you will have selected a user id and password.  When you come to our home page, enter the user id and password in the fields provided:

After you enter your User Id and Password, the following Menu will appear:

The Enter Transactions is where you will be entering all of your accounting data.  The program has been designed to allow for 3 types of transactions - Cash Disbursements (Journal starts with CD), Cash Receipts (Journal starts with CR) and Journal Entries (Journal starts with JE).  We have designed some safeguards into the system - one is that you can not post if you transactions do not add up to a zero balance, another is that the Account number has to be one on the Chart of Accounts designated as a posting account.

Following is the Transaction Entry Screen:

There is one data entry screen for our current system.  Notice that there are links to examples for the various types of transactions that you can enter, and that your chart of accounts is visible on the right so you can select the appropriate account number.

After you have entered the transactions, you will scroll down to the bottom of the page.  There is a totals amount displayed - this total has to equal zero (0) before you can post.

If you select the Reports menu, you will see the following menu:

All of the reports will start off by asking you for the Period ending date.  For example, if you were to select Trail Balance, you would see the following screen:

Once you specify the month you want, the report will be processed and displayed on your screen.  Once the report is displayed on your screen, you can print it to your printer, or you can copy the report and paste it to Word or Excel.  All of the reports are available for the entire year, so in case you ever need to go back and rerun a report from a prior period, you can.

The remaining items on the user menu allow you to maintain your chart of accounts, change your company information, and maintain the users you have set up, and to select the payment options that you would like.
